PM kisan eKYC – OTP Based, CSC Biometric and Face Authentication

PM-Kisan Yojana was launched with the aim of fulfilling the economic needs of the landholder farmers of India. This scheme was launched in February 2019 by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under this welfare scheme, beneficiary farmers are given Rs 6000 per year in 3 equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in their bank account.

eKYC is mandatory for the beneficiaries to avail the benefits of this scheme. If your e-KYC process is not completed for PM Kisan Yojana, then you may face problems in getting installments. PM kisan eKYC 2025

PM kisan eKYC ensures that the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) Yojana reach the intended beneficiary farmers without the involvement of any middleman and the money is credited directly to their Aadhaar linked bank account with the help of DBT, hence e-KYC is mandatory for the beneficiaries to avail the benefits of this scheme.

eKYC Methods

There are 3 methods to execute PM kisan eKYC, the desired beneficiary farmer can use any of these three methods for PM kisan eKYC. The 3 methods of PM kisan eKYC are as follows:

• OTP Based e-KYC (PM-KISAN portal)
• Biometric based e-KYC (CSC/SSK operator)
• e-KYC through Face-authentication (PM-KISAN mobile app)

Interested beneficiary farmers can use any of the above eKYC methods as per their convenience. eKYC execute by any of these three methods will be valid.

OTP Based e-KYC

To execute OTP Based e-KYC, first of all an Aadhaar linked active mobile number is required because in this process an OTP comes on the mobile number which after verification completes the eKYC process.

The step by step process of PM kisan OTP Based e-KYC is as follows:

• First of all, go to the official website of the PM Kisan (https://pmkisan.gov.in/)
• After landing on the PM Kisan Portal, Find the “eKYC” option in the “Farmers Corner” section and Click on n it.

• Now, enter the Aadhaar number Carefully and click on the “Search Button“.

• Now Enter OTP and complete your e-KYC.

Biometric based e-KYC

Biometric based e-KYC facility is not available on PM Kisan Portal but it is available at more than 4 lakh Common Service Centres (CSC) present across the country. Apart from this, Biometric based e-KYC facility is also available at various State Seva Kendras (SSK).

Follow the steps given below for Biometric based e-KYC:

• First of all visit your nearest Common Service Centres (CSC) or State Seva Kendras (SSK) With your Aadhaar card and active mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
• Common Service Centres (CSC) or State Seva Kendras (SSK) operator will assist the concerned interested beneficiary farmer in performing biometric authentication using Aadhaar-based verification.

Note: If you are facing problem in finding the nearest Common Service Centers (CSC), then the nearest CSC can be found from this link https://locator.csccloud.in/. Keep in mind that the convenience fee for e-KYC is Rs 15.

e-KYC through Face-authentication

For the convenience of farmers, the feature of e-KYC through Face-authentication has also been released, this feature is available on PM-Kisan mobile app. Through this feature, farmers can complete e-KYC from their mobile easily. The process of e-KYC through face-authentication is as follows:

• Fisrt, open the Playstore on your device
• Install PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app from Play Store.
• Open the app and Login with your PM-Kisan registered mobile number.
• Now, go to the Beneficiary Status page.
• If eKYC status is “No” then, click on the eKYC
• Enter your Aadhaar number and give your consent to scan your face
• After successfully scanning your face, eKYC is completed

Please note, the status of eKYC done using any of the above-mentioned PM Kisan eKYC Methods will be visible in the beneficiary status after 24 hours.
